    Damon Overington, CEO-Keystone Lodge Founder

    Damon's passion for improving people's lives has been culminated by a 25-year career in the health and fitness industry.

    Combined with the same amount of time involved in the 12-step recovery program. Having spent several years in and out of public and private rehabs throughout Australia and New Zealand.

    Damon has used this extensive experience to create a better, safer, dignified, and service-oriented facility. He has created a unique blend of therapy models customised to serve each individual client, including aftercare.

    Erica Voisin, MHSc, PGDip, CounsPsych. Therapy Director

    Erica is a registered counselling psychologist, with over a decade of experience working with clients experiencing challenges resulting in mental distress, substance abuse, self-harm, social isolation and many other challenges.

    Erica’s professional practice has an holistic focus, supporting the development of hauora/physical, hinengaro/mental and wairua/spiritual wellbeing.

    Daphne Luke, yoga teacher, fitness trainer, support worker

    Daphne is in long term recovery. She has a background of five star hospitality internationally on super yachts. She was born in Canada, speaks French and English.

    Daphne takes care of our everyday requirements living in residence. She also teaches our yoga program and does personal & group fitness training in the gym.

    Alexis Mackenzie, Recovery Coach

    Life Coach, Recovery Dynamics Therapist and Support Worker Level 5 Certificate in Mental Health Addiction

    I have been in the recovery arena for nearly five years and by far the most useful qualification I have is lived experience.  Helping clients learn about themselves and unravel what has been holding them back from living life to its fullest potential is the most rewarding aspect of my role here at Keystone.

    Craig Kilham, Recovery Coach

    Craig is a qualified peer support worker, with experience in the acute mental health sector supporting tangata whaiora on their recovery journey. He is also trained by the Kelly Foundation (Recovery Dynamics USA) Craig has a passion for his community and most days you will find him walking the beach with his dog Evie.

    Tahira Nisha, Nurse

    Tahira is a dedicated registered nurse with 10+ years of experience in Mental Health and Addiction.  With background in nursing and addiction care, Tahira excels in evaluating and managing the detoxification process to ensure patient safety and effectiveness.  She brings a compassionate approach to each assessment, combining in-depth knowledge of substance withdrawal symptoms, medication management and individualised care planning.

    Diana Bain, Chef

    Diana is our experienced chef specialising in international cuisine. Her culinary mantra is lean, green and nourishing with plenty of flavour including Asian & Middle Eastern fusion.

    Food is paramount in recovery and Diana will cater for allergies, special dietary requirements and diabetics.

    She is also a trained specialist in peer support and recovery.

    Ed, Musician

    A professional guitarist and teacher who lives in Piha on the West Coast of Auckland.

    Ed has a Bachelor of Music (Classical Guitar Performance) from Auckland University and performs regularly with his bands ‘Ghost Town’ and the “Ed Taylor Collective”, and as a solo guitarist. Ed performs Saturdays at the Keystone Lodge while clients enjoy a special lunch serving.

    Deb Challis, Support Worker

    Debbie is a long time Hibiscus Coast resident and support worker with our team. She is enthusiastic and passionate about helping others.

    Emma Grace, Support Worker

     Emma was a guest at Keystone Lodge. The experience in our rehab has been a life changing experience and given her a whole new life. Emma is currently studying mental health and  addiction support and enjoys helping others on this journey of recovery.

    Baz, Support Worker

    Baz has worked as a rehabilitation caregiver for over 11 years and is 24 years sober. It is his passion to work with alcoholics.

    He has helped and seen over 1,500 people go through rehabilitation and feels privileged to work with every one of them.

    Debra Bathgate, Support Worker

    Debra is a mental health support worker and is passionate about helping others in recovery. She is in long term recovery and a great mentor for others starting their recovery journey. Debra is also our amazing gardener so we give her a big thank you for all our fresh, organic produce grown on site as well as the beautiful gardens.

    James, Support Worker

    James is a support worker at Keystone Lodge and has worked in the industry for a few years. He is friendly, calm and his hard working nature makes him a team player and ideal mentor.

    Sheree Plaziuk, Operations Manager

    Sheree lives locally and has 3 grown children. She has worked in the medical field for 20 years in various roles ranging from medical and specialist administration to procedure bookings. She has a passion for helping others, is dedicated, and has a strong work ethic.

    Christie has over 20 years in recovery, is mum to two fur babies, and has spent 10 years in the corporate world focusing on pharmaceuticals and natural health supplements. She is positive, friendly, creative, and always wears a smile. She lives and breathes the recovery life and loves sharing her journey and helping others. Christie enjoys photography, cooking, and connecting with people.
